Educators are invited to create courses and/or projects using the information available on the web site, in the Wiki and using external resources such as books, multimedia and other web sites such as the Canadian War Graves Commission, Canadian War Museum, Library and Archives Canada and others.

By doing so, students across Saskatchewan and other parts of Canada and the world can learn about the ultimate sacrifice made by men and women of Saskatchewan for the cause of peace and freedom. Project results can be added to the Wiki to be of benefit to all and not just a small group of students.

The Saskatchewan Virtual War Memorial includes a Moodle server. Moodle is an open source project that allows educators to create courses based on simple or complex syllabi, assign resources, prepare grade books, create lesson outlines and assignments, receive student submissions online and even grade their work. Students can work individually or in groups.

If you are interested in creating a course or project, please use the Contact form to request a Teacher Account on Moodle along with a syllabus or course outline (or contact us at contact@svwm.ca). You will be notified when the account is ready for you to use.

You can go to the Moodle server to see what courses and projects have already been prepared by other educators.
